Wednesday Rants: March 2017 Edition
Greetings Fellow Readers! The Months of Feb. and Mar. have been very eventful. However, each topic is going to be very brief. So let's begin.
[Business Weekend]
So this past weekend I was off to another business weekend hence the early release of 'Arcana Magi Memorial'. And having seen the number of views within 8 hours, I want to thank all my fellow readers for following the 'Arcana Magi Universe' through thick and thin.
[Games]
Splatterbomb™ and Savage Strikers are now in the dark. They are currently in submission stages now so there will no more information on them from this point forward. I would like to thank everyone who participated in playtesting both games at NYC-Playtest and other events.
[Arcana Magi Universe]
'Arcana Magi Memorial Vol.7-c.5' is on for next Friday as scheduled.
'Arcana Magi Gaiden' the Deck Building Combat Game had a big setback over my Business Weekend, but I rebounded within 24 hours and back on track. I am looking into writing a short story, possibly an anthology for 'Arcana Magi Gaiden', I would say stay tuned for any announcements.

I am now at Chapter 7 with the cleanup. The whole month with Business Weekend, personal issues, and 'Arcana Magi Gaiden' development slowed me a bit but I at least push a little further with the update for Kindle.

Wednesday Rants: February 2017 Edition
Greetings Fellow Readers! Sorry for the late rants tonight, I am so wrapped up with this weekend among other things. So let's begin.
[Business Weekend]
So this weekend I am off on business and have spent the past 3 days working on Splatterbomb's art portfolio, hence the late Rants. The game is pretty much done and will be on the submission block soon, starting this weekend.
I do have another game on the submission block as well so this year I am looking to publish two games.
There is an NYC-Playtest meetup this Saturday, I highly visiting the group and playtest their protoypes.
[Arcana Magi Universe]
Arcana Magi Memorial Vol.7-c.3 is still on for next Friday as scheduled.
Arcana Magi Crossworlds Deck Building Game is now re-titled Arcana Magi Gaiden. Gaiden in Japanese means Tale or Side Story depending on context, in this case, it is a side story tot he series. The purpose is so that the deck building game doesn't get pigeon-hold by the stories I have written. This normally happens to games based on licensed works like Harry Potter or Star Wars where they get restricted to what was already done in movies or books that were released and the publisher is not allowed to create new characters or settings for the games. With Arcana Magi Gaiden it opens up the game to original characters and location in addition to current characters found in my stories. The playtesting is on a good start and it looks like it will get better.

I am now at Chapter 6 with the cleanup. Everything is pacing along nicely. Stay tuned for the updates release on Amazon Kindle.

Wednesday Rants: January 2017 Edition
Greetings Fellow Readers! It's 2017 and the Rants have returned! Wooo... Let's get started.
[Arcana Magi Universe]
I hope you are having fun with Season 7 of 'Arcana Magi Universe' on Fictionaut.
The Short Stories are going to be set back to public mode at the end of Season 7 on Fictionaut. It's just takes too long for the new chapters that I post up to get out of the front page, and I don't want to risk missing my deadlines due to waiting to reinstate.
To give context, due to contractual obligations I had to set the short stories to private mode. However, I cannot change them over to public mode because when I post up a new chapter, it sits on the front page. See back in the early years of Fictionaut, people had the tendency to post and lot of their stories all at once, and on Fictionaut's front page, all you would see are stories from that one person. So, stories from 5 different people would be pushed off the front page without a chance of being read because one person posted five of their stories up at once. The developers of the website restricted the posting to 1 story per page, and it seems that stories in Private Mode are affect as well. Which means that my new chapter plus resetting a Short Story back into public mode is the equivalent of posting 2 stories on the front at once. If that makes any sense. So for now, I'm prioritizing the new Season over the Short Stories and once this season is over I will bring the Shorts out of private mode. In the meantime, if you want the short stories, you can get them at Amazon Kindle under the 'Arcana Mafi Universe Shorts Collection', but you can also wait it out, it doesn't bother me.
'Arcana Magi Crossworlds' the deck building game is now track thanks to the development of my other deck building game. The layout and rules are set and I will be making my playtesting round this year to get it to publishing level. I do need to warn that if should any of you actually attend any event to playtest 'Arcana Magi Crossworlds', there will be spoilers since there will be a Season 8 in October.

So after making my first pitch back in 2016, I had put it aside on hiatus to focus on a smaller deck building game I am working. This year I am coming back to Splatterbomb. What the plans are I will announce at a later date.

I am cleaning up 'The Impossible Man' on Kindle. I will announce when the novel update will be released on Kindle. Amazon has a new program I would like to take advantage of and I am giving The Impossible Man one more treatment just to make sure it's nice and clean. I'll let you all know when the time comes at a later date.

Just a heads up, this Saturday, January 21, at Brooklyn Game Lab is another NYC-Playtest Meetup. I am bring 'Savage Strikers' and 'Arcana Magi Crossworlds' for playtest, but time is limited there, so only one may get tested. Look to Twitter for start time.

So, I went to Kindle and reduced the price of 'Arcana Magi Universe Shorts Collection' from $2.99 to $1.99. However, due to the collection currently released on Kindle, I had to set the shorts to Private Mode in Fictionaut. I am deciding whether I want to keep the collection on Kindle or not because of this, expecially since the Arcana Magi's Fifth Anniversary was 2 years ago. The other problem I'm having is that Fictionaut won't let me set the shorts back to Public Mode because 'Arcana Magi Pure Vol.7-c.5' is currently occupying the front websites front page, which is very annoying, and it's still up there as of this writing. Once all of this straighten out, I'll decide then what I want to do with the Short Stories. I apologize for all inconveniences regarding 'Arcana Magi'.
