Wednesday Rants: November 2015 Edition

Greetings Fellow Readers! Welcome to another round of random ranting. We're half way through convention season and a lot of stuff are on tap so let's get started.

[Splatterbomb]

All right there is a lot to talk about so I'm gonna break them down as into bite sized morsels.

-Status: The board game has entered Beta Level now. I have the games victory condition finalized and established an Item Card Deck that will help the game assist players in achieving the end game without problems. In a sense, the game came back full circle from last year's 1st draft. It was a remarkable journey indeed. As of now, I went into Print and Play Admagic website, and was able to create a prototype fold-able game board. I gave it a full on playtest at Metatopia, more on that in a moment, and walk away with a stable and complete game. All that's left to clear out the optimization issue where Player 1 would always be the one to win the game, and balancing out the 30 card Item Deck.

-Metatopia: So Metatopia in Morristown, NJ was success. All the playtesters provided all the input and help I needed to straighten out Splatterbomb™. I would like to thank Metatopia for running the event. I wish I had everybody who participate in playtesting the board game so I could set up a thank you list.I wished I had thought of that over the weekend during playtesting. I really appreciated all they have done to make the game better and more focused.

-Gameacon Festival: So next stop is Gameacon Festival at the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. This will be my first ever Exhibitor Booth for Splatterbomb. Its a little weird considering that I am looking for a publisher. What they offered was not what i had expected, but considering the opportunity presented to me by the organizers I really did not want to dismiss so casually. As soon as I get my booth number, I'll post it up on Twitter. I will be providing discount passes for 'Peanut Butter Jelly (Splatterbomb Theme)' via Catapult. I will be exploring Discount passes for Spreadshirt, but I don't know if that would be possible, so don't get your expectations up. Unfortunately, Spreadshirt doesn't offer special bulk promotional amenities for me to take advantage of to create raffle drives. I would have to pay out of pocket to get the shirts and at this point, it will be too late to order them now to have on site.

-Spreadshirt: Speaking of Spreadshirt, I will be discontinuing the Spreadshirt and American Apparel brands of Splatterbomb T-Shirts and focus only on Gilden. Gilden is the cheapest price shirts at $13.00 by comparison. The change will happen this Friday. Also, this weeks characters will be Ashley and Guiey. Please check out the 'Peanut Butter Jelly (Splatterbomb Theme)' Roster Video on my Studio Coqui Youtube Channel to get a sneak peek of them.

-New Roster Additions: So if any of you have watched 'Peanut Butter Jelly (Splatterbomb Theme)' Roster Video, you most likely counted how many characters there are in the video. Well, thanks to the paytesters at Metatopia, that count increased by 9. There are now 9 new Items added to the roster bringing the overall total to 110 characters. I will not update the Roster Video, but I may create a separate video short introducing the nine new items. Because of these nine new Item Cards and changes made to their application, there will be a delay in added Items to the Spreadshirts because there are new categories listed for them outside of 'Item-Bonus' as labeled on the shirts. In the meantime I'll be focusing on releasing the artwork for the Athletes and Enemies that make up the bulk of the roster.

[Arcana Magi Universe]

I apologize for any slowness in the release of 'Arcana Magi' stories on Fictionaut. The convention season is very overwhelming and I need to maintain top priority on Splatterbomb in order to succeed. Most likely January, after the holidays is when I'll increase the frequency of releases. For now, it's just once a month.  And yes, because of these schedules, the grammar may be off putting due to time constraints. But please bear with me. I thank you all for your patience.

That's all I have on my mind for the moment. I have a lot of work to do and get ready for. I'll see you all next week at Gameacon Festival.

Until next time...

See ya.
